SALT. Optics debuted in 2006, the brainchild of surfers Taylor Whisenand and David Rose, plus business partner Ron Smith. While Whisenand moved on from being CEO of SALT. in 2012, Rose remains VP of Design & Manufacturing and Smith VP of Sales.
